I will never understand what makes a guy choose another guy over a woman! But then I also do not understand why God chose the Male Sea Horse to play the motherly role.
It cannot be termed wrong, just because one does not understand it!
Probably even you won’t understand it, as I don’t, but to term it wrong just shows our CLOSED mind! Unfortunately I have heard some people refer homosexuality as a Disease! This is very unfortunate and erroneously judgmental!
Foremost: Why do we see any relation from the perspective of sex? If two people like each other and want to spend time (could be 2 hours or a lifetime) with each other, how does it matter, WHAT IS THEIR GENDER?
If we see a homosexual relation MINUS the SEX then you will never find a problem in two people liking each other and wanting to be partners!
Does sex play such a big role in our mind that we SHUDDER at some of our fellow beings for having a different orientation than ours?
Article 377 of the Indian Penal Code: Un-Natural Sex
I can understand why this article exists and will add that it should exist until we have specific articles covering all the illegal and immoral (read Paedophilia) acts some people indulge in! Having said that, I would like the government of India to append, from time to time, the exclusions of the term “Un-Natural Sex”.
The term “Un-Natural Sex” is often used for any act which does not lead towards procreation!
Given that definition, I can guarantee that 80% of heterosexual people break this law day in day out! If the authorities are not pursuing them, then singling out homosexual couples is just a sign of Prejudice and Fear of Unknown!
Enjoy and Let Enjoy…

Dude, I got directed here from friendsofbjp.org, so forgive my transgression, but I could not stop myself from commenting a few lines.
As I mentioned there, please stop bringing God to justify some (or someone else's) perversion. Today everyone from a terrorist to a criminal is using God to justify their actions. "God made people certain way" - Yeah, like God made some old men to make love to little kids!
Secondly, why on earth would you use the definition of un-natural to be "not leading to procreation" is beyond me. Un-natural is simply un + natural, that is not observed in nature or not natural. Do you see male dog f---ing another male dog? Yes, there are a lot of things humans do that are not exactly natural. But, there's a line which is acceptable and which isn't (I gave the example of pedophilia and incest, which included rebuttal to your response in BJP website).
Hence my third point, and that this is a social issue and not biological one - you said it right to detach sex from it. And, so we have to draw a line whats acceptable to our society (like smooching or going naked in public is) and we have to do it independently of what US or Europe does. Some people have grown a permanent rigor mortis for aping foreign cultures, even though not everything they do is bad.
Fourth is a human rights issue and something most activists state - someone's sex life is none of Government's concern. But, in any democracy the people collectively entrust the government to set regulations that affect people's personal lives - like regulation on smoking, drinking, drugs, prostitution and so on ...
PS - As for human rights of people who are genetically/biologically/hormonally in between a full male and female forms, India has always accepted them as "third sex" and I agree to that. But, that is different from BIOLOGICALLY healthy people, capable of bearing child, deciding to explore their fantasies.
PPS - If you feel like I said something horribly wrong and you want to debate, kindly drop me a line in my blog/contact.
You are not horribly wrong, but you certainly are horribly confused.
The "unnatural... procreation" definition is not mine it is used by the Church.
I liked that you are ready to disassociate sex with Homosexality! If that so then how does it make a difference whether I like a woman or a man. Without Gender and Sex in consideration they are the same!
You talk of Human rights and then next line you talk of Government curbing them, which is totally against Human Rights (RIGHTS is the operative word not ILLEGALITY)!
Yes it is a SOCIAL ISSUE andNOT BIOLOGICAL ONE. I like that thank you.
I am loveing a Human being as simple as that, the world makes it a BIOLOGICAL issue by attributing gender (man or woman) to it.
If you remove BIOLOGY then there should be no issue with Homosexuality!
We have to learn to STOP drawing SOCIAL lines. History is repleat with horror stories of such unfortunate lines.
